How to find a court’s contact details

If you are looking for the contact details of a court, we explain how you can find them.

How to find a court’s contact details

You can find the details of specific courts in England and Wales using this search on the government website.

The search should give you:

  • Address

  • Phone numbers and email

  • Opening times

  • How to get to the court or tribunal

  • The areas of law it covers

  • Accessibility information

If you have received any letters, emails or documents from a court, you should be able to find the relevant court details on there.

If you want to contact a court about an existing court case, you will need to give the court your case number.  This is a mixture of letters and numbers and should be on any letters or emails you have received from the court.

The guidance notes contained with each of our packages help you work out which court you should contact to start new court proceedings
