Child Arrangement Orders are court orders which decide any of the following:
(a) who a child is to live, spend time or have contact with, and / or
(b) when a child is to live, spend time or have contact with someone;
These orders are sometimes referred to as section 8 (or s. 8) orders because the court’s power to make these orders comes from a law called section 8 of the Children Act 1989.
